The Musical Al-Hara

In a joyful atmosphere, the “Hila Band" of the Nablus Childhood Happiness Center presented a theatrical performance titled “Al-Hara Play” on the stage of Al-Quds Open University. The event was attended by the Mayor of Nablus, Dr. Husam Al-Shakhshir, his deputy Dr. Zahra Al-Wawi, a number of representatives of official institutions and ministries, as well as the families of the children participating in the play.
In his speech, the Mayor stated that theatrical art is one of the most important tools of Palestinian culture, as it embodies, conveys, and documents the history of cities and their inhabitants. He emphasized the municipality’s commitment to supporting artistic and theatrical works, especially those aimed at youth and children, and to promoting them on local and international stages.
For her part, Samah Hanoun, Director of the Childhood Happiness Center, affirmed the center’s dedication to supporting ideas and artistic expressions that reflect the Palestinian people’s struggle throughout its various stages, through theatrical works that help shape and enrich the personalities and experiences of the participating children.
Meanwhile, the play’s director and author, artist Ameed Jamous, expressed his pride in accomplishing this theatrical work, which came to life after months of hard work and extensive rehearsals. The production was presented as a comprehensive performance featuring powerful scenes and artistic tableaux depicting the suffering of the Palestinian people under siege, closures, and imprisonment. Jammous also called on official institutions to support the play and facilitate its future performances.
